  • Pain

God is constantly at work, using pain to accomplish His pain in those who acknowledge Him and those who don't. He uses pain to get our attention.

    C. S. Lewis
"We can rest contentedly in our sins and in our stupidity. We can ignore even pleasure. But pain insisted on being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience but shouts in our pain..."
Awaken to pain, we cry to God!

    Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry you oh God. Sadly we have to sink into our deaths to cry out to God.

God inflicts us with pain so that out of the deaths we can repent from our sinfulness and cry out to God.

Our tears of sorrows then turn to tears of appreciation. We will turn our gaze from our self to God!
God uses pain to shape us into loving, humble, gentle saints!

  • A Whirlwind visit

With such a brief moment of visiting California, I never seem to have enough time to spend with each friend and catch up with all the people I want to see. It's interesting how much more I love to be by myself during the day than before. Not only my body requires me to rest more and not seeing multiple number of people in one day...my spiritual self also needs more time to just calm down and be quiet.

    Out of the Valley

    Climb, climb, climb
    away from the dark hole
    shedding the frail, old skin
    being released into new heights
    I feel lighter

    Scratch, scratch, scratch
    on the rocky surface
    pushing myself toward the goal
    being plunged into renewal
    I feel challenged

    Out of the Valley
    I praise you
    the depths of emotions
    come to an end
with "Father, I commit my Spirit to you."

    In lightening speed
    death rocks the world
    change sceneries
that awakens courage to face you
    to choose everlasting hope

Like light rays dart toward humanity
    a refreshing spirit overflows
    to surrender all
that brings about life from death
    that blossoms what's been germinating
